Dear Parents/Carers
I regret to inform you that we are unable to run a Summer Scheme next week. This is because two further positive Covid-19 cases have been identified today, one being a member of St Ann’s staff and the other being a Passenger Assistant. Unfortunately this will necessitate a number of staff and students self isolating for ten days. These people will be contacted during the afternoon.
Under these circumstances it would not be safe to go ahead with the summer scheme as many staff who had signed up to work during this period will now be required to self isolate and it is likely that other positive cases will be confirmed during the coming days.
We very much hope that we can hold a holiday scheme and/or an after school club during the next academic year once the transmission and infection rates reduce.
Thank you for your ongoing patience and support during these unprecedented times which have now impacted on two school years of our young people’s lives.
I’m sure that you’d all want to join with me in hoping that we all enjoy a more normal school year from September onwards and wish those who are unwell a speedy and complete recovery.
